We decided that no matter what

favor we decide to do, we are definately going to make a donation. Most likely it will go to the American Liver Foundation. I am very happy about this.

Now I just want some ideas about how to present this to my guests....

my cousin just got married a ferw weeks ago, and she and her FH made a donation to a lupus charity - what she did was buy this really cute frame - it was curved glass - could fit a 4x6 pic. and she put a little note on pretty pink paper inside the frame. it was cute.

Ok here are my pictures:

This is my scroll:

I printed them myslef, 4 per page, and cut out with fancy scissors.
Then I rolled them up around a pen and put a clear rubberband around to hold it.
I got white 2x2 inch boxes. I filled them with Yummy candy (how ironic we donated to diabetes ) Then I tied a pink ribbon around each one. I got the boxes and ribbon from Papermart Then I attached the scroll to the box with a wire stemmed fake flower - I got these from Michaels. When I thought of this idea I didn't think it would take so long but it took a long time!

I am putting one at each place setting.

I found this picture online from someone who did it a little different. They had labels on the box but I decided not to do that. I did the flowers instead. This person also used those fake rings to hold the scrolls (instead of a rubberband) and used a ribbon to tie them on (instead of the flowers)

I was at a wedding once where the printed up a giant scroll and had it framed on the placecard table. Everyone read it so they knew that was in lieu of favors. I wanted my guests to have something to take home though.

I think a donation is a great idea. We did a donation for out wedding.

Julie I love that idea!! They came out great!! I agree with you, we are giving a donation but I want my guests to take something home so I am going to attach some candy to the scroll also...I was thinking a few hershey's kisses wrapped in tool!

i donated for our wedding to the cancer society, the cancer society makes up scrolls and then i just rolled them.. I gave that and a little chocolate for everyone.... i wasnt really into favors...
