Honestly, Im so nervous. Im thinking twice about it again. We want to so badly but I dont have tenure in this district and they are very very strict. I know they can find ways of letting you go if they want to. Theyll just say its for another reason. i dont trust them as far as I can throw them. DH says screw them and if they get rid of me, well figure something out and Ill get a job somewhere else... There was 700 applicants for my job.. Its not easy to get another.... Im just so torn

I think your concerns are legit.... I also went to school for teaching, although I didn't finish...

I agree.. How much longer do you have till tenure??... If not, you can take the gamble.. I DO believe that everything happens for a reason... Weigh out the options.. and ignore the a$$es that can't say anything nice!

I've worked for them since '02 but was part time until last year, so nothing was counted

That's not that far off. A lot of my friends have said that it took over 8 mos of trying to conceive so you'd probably have time even after you decide.

Is that necessary and does this post even pertain to you? If you don't like the subject or poster, why bother to read? Unless you're stalking her posts Live and let live and if you can't handle that, at least don't hide yourself behind an alias...
I think it's a good idea to give TTC careful consideration. Financial stress and worries won't make things easier..you want to bring the baby into a sound environment, both emotionally and financially (although that's not always the case or circumstance). Good luck with whatever you decide.

Im a teacher too and I don't have tenure yet...and I won't for another 2 years. I would love to have a baby now....but I have been warned by other teachers that I work with to not do it. I just think it is so unfair that districts will let us go for having a baby. Part of me says screw it as well...but then I remember how hard it was for me to even get a job in a public school on long island. They are very few and far between. What ever is ment to happen will. I wish you the best of luck for what ever you decide!!
