We Do Letters...Quick Q

I bought the We Do letters from Michaels' & started painting them but I didn't sand & FH said, we HAVE to sand them....

Did everyone else sand them before painting them?

I didn't sand the 'W' and wound up with uneven paint streaks, and little pieces of wood sticking out. I made sure I sanded the rest of the letters, and I bought a new 'W'.

no and we spray painted them it was soo easy!

Mine is like that too...little bits of wood sticking out. I think I may just sand them down & repaint them or else just buy new letters. I like the spray paint idea too.

just wanted to add that i spray painted them too---- i have painted letters as well-so much easier than painting!

I didnt, they didnt come out perfect, if I would have sanded them they would have come out better.

We got our made from an ebay seller so they were pretty good. But I did sand one edge before painting. This was my second set of letters though. The originals were from Michael's, and I didn't sand them and used the wrong paint. They came out crappy and I started over.
