You know how everyone talks about that 20-30% of people invited that say no? Ours is looking more like around 60% no!!! We invited like 240 people, knowing full well that some would say no. We didn't expect this many. So far we only have around 110-120 people. We guaranteed 125, but expected more like at least 150. Now I'm not even sure if we will have enough to make our guarantee. We are sitting here racking our brains of who else we could invite without making it look like it. Any ideas?
The only 'good' thing (if you can call it that) about this is that FIL's said that since they will have extra money (they are paying for the hall), maybe now we can have the Viennese desserts! LOL! But we'd rather have all of our guests there. This is so sad! We just don't know what to do!!

you can have some of our guests since we have like 113 yes and 11 nos so far...... it's the day before your's, so we'll just tell them there's been a change of plans.....

We have a A list and a B list... We have a big family that we have to invite first..But i have a B list for co-workers.. You can always invite your LIW GALS

How many responses are you still waiting for? Maybe that will make up the difference so you can make your minimum. It will still be a great party no matter how many guests you have.

This may sound silly, but did you remember to include any DJ/band/etc. people in your count? It may only be a few, but I know at a lot of places, they will gladly include your vendors in your guest list if you need that extra few people to meet your number - even if those vendors would have originally eaten for half-price. Other than that, make sure that everyone who wasn't previously bringing a guest is strongly encouraged to bring someone! Don't go crazy, though... I'm sure you'll get enough in the end! Good luck!

Believe me.. that thought did cross my mind!! It could be fun. And we are already on like our D-list!!! I just don't want anyone we invite now to think of themselves as last minute invites just to fill the room or something.
