we are looking to spend the whole day together and go to dinner tonight - we are in western nassau now.
we've never been to port jeff - what's that about? Could we go during the day?

pt jeff is just a tiny little town near the water with a bunch a shops and stuff... i live around the corner... i guess you could spend the day there if you like shopping together and stuff, you can get some icecream and sit near the water...

We're looking for somewhere tyo drive also after we pick up our NEW CAR today! But I don't know. i drove to port jeff once and it was a big disappointment. it's tiny, there's not much to do (a few shops and restaraunts, though it's nice to sit by the water) and at night it seemed like a lot of HS kids were hanging out there. I don't hvae a better suggestions though!

Come out to the North Fork! It's a bit of a drive from Nassau, but well worth it! There's tons of wineries where you can do tastings and tours, and if you want, you can bring a lunch and sit out on the vineyard at Palmer and eat your lunch while you taste some wine! There's strawberry picking going on now, too. Also, there's Greenport out here, much better than Port Jeff!

I drove past Palmer yesterday and they have strawberry wine. OMG I almost stopped and got some, too bad I needed to go get diapers
