We FINALLY got rid of our mortage broker!! ( UPDATE!)

Finally i can breathe a sigh of relief....... If anyone has been following this, I have had 5 weeks of sheer he77 with this man. We have perfect credit and a good income........... he needed everything in a rush and then did not need it. he called me once 22 times in 1 day, he kept us at his office for 4 hours the first time we were there, kept changing his mind after we got approved for a loan, we were 4 days away from closing and he revoked our mortgage AGAIN! He did not know how to handle an estate sale, this was my parents house they both passed away, so it was hard enough as it was, we were buying out my sister of her half of the house. The worst part was the other day when he knew about this for 1 week and did NOTHING to even tell us , we found out by accident, he said he was working on something else to help us, we have not heard from him at all in 3 days. He started to also put me down about my job, I love my job, I manage a doctors office, told me with a masters degree why am I doing that- so I sat there nieve that I am and explained my dad was sick, yada yada yada, I took care of him etc. I also had nasty remarks made to me by him , etc. I am going to report him to his boss when this is all finished and we get the mortgage from another bank. i was so stressed out the other day i had a migraine and then got a bloody nose, I can only imagine what my Blood pressure was, and I do not have high blood pressure.... I finally deceided I was not going to let this affect my health. Please tell me it will get better and this was just a wacky thing............. I need some hugs..........

I have never heard of such a thing. So sorry you had a rough time. Who are you going through now? Do you have to re-apply? That would stink.

I'm so sorry that you had to go through this. The broker sounds completely incompetent and unprofessional. I'm glad you made the decision to go elsewhere.

If you need a name of a good banker (he works for JPMorgan Chase) let me know! He is located in Seaford

Good for you!! I wonder if there is some sort of ethics board you can bring him up to?

Thank you for all of your hugs. I cannot begin to tell you how stressed out I was. I am relieved he has not called me, caller ID is a wonderful thing! I am now researching where to go for the mortgage. I have so much healing to go thru after this is all done. The day he made me give him my Mom's death certificate was the worst ever. I got lost going to the place I had to go to, and then I never saw it till then I was crying that night like it had just happened. I can understand the lawyer needed it but not out right ask for it, he could have gotten it from my lawyer. I am wondering how I can report him?
I am going to get my nails done this morning and get a pariffin treatment on my hands maybe it will make me feel better. I am also thinking I am going to try to bake and get into the hoilday spirit.
You girls are the best. thank you so much for listening and supporting me thru all of this.

I would think that really only your lawyer and the title company would need to see the death certificate. (I work for a title company. I read and clear title.) However, I am a little clueless when it comes to the lenders and their requirements. Every lender is different.

Many times we will get a fax from the lender (which has been forwarded to us by the buyers' atty) stating what they need to see before they will schedule the closing. However, they usually state that they wish us to 'omit' the exception in our title report. (worded- 'Company requires proof of death for Jane Doe.')

Anyway, as I said before, he's extremely unprofessional and also completely lacking in any sense of compassion.
