We finished our DIY invites!!! UPDATED with directions

All day yesterday and today and we finally finished our invites! What do you think? Some of the pics are kind of blurry...new camera too I'm so mad!!! But I'm so happy they are done! The picture of us is a vellum paper on top on the invite...the invite pic is kind of blurry but it's what is underneath the picture of us.

Since alot of people sent me FM asking how I made them here are the directions..I hope it helps!!

I bought the white cardstock at Michael's (pack of 100 sheets for $3). I printed everythign on computer by changing the page size in microsoft word...then printing it out on the cardstock and cutting it down with a paper cutter ($10 at Michaels).

The sizes I used for a 7x7 pocketfold invite:
invite - 7x7
map card and direction card - 6 3/8 x 4 3/8
accomodation card - 5 3/8 x 3 7/8
rsvp card - 4 3/4 x 3 3/8

i fit 2 of everything on a page except the invitation

I ordered the pocketfold, outer envelope, and rsvp card envelope from invites byyou.com...they have lots of sizes and were pretty cheap..i would def recommend them!

I then cut slits in the back of the pocketfold using an exacto knife and weaved in the pink ribbon. (make sur eyou do this BEFORE you tape on the invite..a mistake I made with the first one!!)

I used double sided tape to attach the invite to the center part of the pocketfold. I then put everything in size order into the bottom pocket...the rsvp envelope and map card are behind the directions.

I closed the front using a monogram sticker. I made the monogram myself using microsoft word...I sized out a box then wrote inside of it. I fit 8 of them on a page. I printed them out on sticker paper I found at staples (25 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 white label sheets)....then cut them down to size using my paper cutter. The back peels right off and you then have a sticker to put on top of the ribbon to hold everything closed!

The size of the monogram I made was 2 x 2

Hope this helps! If anyone has any more questiosn please let me know!!! Hope this helped!!!

Love them! This is basically what I will be doing (although I haven't yet decided if we're ordering or DIY'ing them).

How did you print them? Laser or inkjet? Did you do it yourself or send out to be printed?
