After looking for only 2 days, we found a very LARGE apartment for an awesome price today. Best yet, the landlords agreed to let us move in on 5/1. (They had wanted to fill it ASAP.)
FH will move in 5/1, but I might pay for my apartment up until end of May, and move in mid-May. I'm afraid of losing the straggler RSVPs that might come in early May since my date is 4/21.
Was anyone else in this situation? We don't currently live together so we'd have to absorb the 2 rents for May.
What do you ladies think? Move in with FH on 5/1 or move in most of my stuff with him and hold my current apartment for a little longer?

I would hang onto the apt through May. With your wedding approaching things will be stressful enough without having to move in with your FI.

Well I technically would need to move in mid-May anyway. The wedding is on May 21 and my HM will run through June 4 and I would need to be out by then.
I still don't know what to do.

if you are only planning on staying in your apt for the rsvps, i would move out earlier... you can always have the post office foward your mail!

I agree...don't pay two rents due to the rsvps. Maybe your landlord can hold them for you and you can stop by every couple of days to get them?

Yeah, I'm thinking I'd probably have to start calling people before then anyway. And I was just looking at the calendar. My weekends are probably going to be full during the month of May. Do I really need to be occupying 2 of them with one for moving FH and one for moving me a few week before the wedding. The new landlord will most likely let us start moving things in mid-April, since there is nobody there right now. So maybe I should move in May 1, (well I guess the 4/29-4/30 weekend).
What was I thinking??? My brain is mush. I can't make decisions.
