I couldn't believe it....now the question is...it was made out to Mr. and Mrs.XYZ....after I got up from passing out from seeing that in writing for the first time I thought to myself...Do I need to wait to cash it?? Thoughts???

You probably will need to wait bc if Tim tries to cash it, his bank will want the other signature (yours). Have him call h is bank to find out for sure.

We got some like that. We cashed them right away (i'd hate if someone waited over a month to cash my check) and my bank said as long as we both sign it it's fine. FI has to sign it, you have to sign in your maiden name AND you have to sign in your married name too!

we got one too.. you just both need to sign it and we sent a thank you right away as well and will send a formal one after the wedding

we got some too and didnt' want to seem overly anxious (or like we needed the money ) so we waited like 2 weeks before cashing them. but we sent out TY's asap and we'll send them a real TY from the wedding and send them a favor too.

We waited until after the wedding to cash checks from non-attendees. It's a wedding gift. We figured if we cashed it before it makes it look like we're using it to pay for the others to attend. JMO.

we got 2 checks and i made my fiance sign them bc our names are both on our banck accounts, but since they wrote christine and christopher xxxxx i made him sign them
isnt it cool seeing our names like that..

We got some like that & my DH signed them & I deposited them directly into our account! It did not need my signature as I was not officially Mrs yet!
