We got a Tempurpedic mattress!

We got the deluxe king and slept on it for the first night last night!

Well, it was great last night... it's a lot harder than you expect at first. Because it's temperature sensitive, it had to warm up to room temperature before it was 'ready' to use... or at least that's what they said.

There's absolutely NO bounce! It's bizarre but cool. You get in the bed and you sorta just sink in to this perfect cradle for your body. You don't keep sinking though!

I can see that it will take a little getting used to because without the bounce, it's a little difficult to change positions... though you don't feel the need to move nearly as often as with a regular mattress.

DH woke up around 3am feeling thoroughly rested and refreshed! The funniest thing is, I never knew he got up. He even TRIED to wake me by moving around in the bed and shaking it... I didn't budge! So the transfer of motion thing is really true -- there is none! The only way you feel your partner stir is if and when they pull the sheets.

I want to give it at least a week (we have the 4 month trial period) before giving a final verdict but so far so good!!

I've actually read mixed reviews on the 'no bounce' issue regarding uh, non-sleeping mattress activties.... I'll be sure to post a review on that aspect of the mattress also!

i look forward to hearing your final verdict. my dh tosses and turns all night and it wakes me up every time. drives me crazy!! i'd love to have a bed where i could sleep through the night...

I have Tempurpedic pillows which I love so I completly understand the warm up factor. I was thinking of getting one, the mattress. I cant wait to hear your non-sleeping review.

The king deluxe was $2558 including shipping and setup, & removal of our old mattress. It's all their website.

The classic and queen sizes are less expensive. The 'celebrity' is more expensive so I would say we the middle of the line price.

So if they remove your old mattress and you dont like theirs will they buy you the same mattress you had before you got theirs?

I wish! No, they refund your money minus shipping and I assume you are supposed to go out and get a new mattress with that money right quick otherwise you'll be sleeping on the floor that night!

We want to get the queen celebrity one with the wedding money. We love the pillows but I can see how the no bounce factor would make it hard to roll over.

Second night on the Tempurpedic and this morning I woke up feeling very refreshed and well-rested... and I didn't even go to bed early! So far so good...

I alwasy see this on display every time I go to Fortunoff and it's SO COMFY! (Of course I lay on it in the store ) DH and I need to completely replace our entire bed set - it's over 10 years old!!! We're both active sleepers too, so if one of us is restless in our sleep, we'll wake up bc of it. DOH! I f we had the money I would so love to get this mattress -but I think we're looking more along the lines of 1-800-MATTRESS with our current budget! Glad you love your new bed - what a treat to have a good night's sleep!

I've been regretting that we didn't get a Tempurpedic in the first place. I toss and turn a lot during the night, and my back is constantly bothering me. I wake up whenever DH moves (lucky him, he sleeps like the dead). Maybe one day we'll get one...
