We got another offer after we accepted one!!!

We accepted an offer last night (lower than we wanted) because we're already in contract on our new house and we needed to get moving on this. Now this morning we got another one, and it's a LOT higher. I feel so bad but I think we have to take it. I would never want this to happen to me, but we can't pass this up...

This is SO frustrating!!!!

legally you can accept the second offer... have the first people sent in their inspector yet??

you can also offer the first people to come up in price...

sometimes you have to do what you have to do...

It's a co-op that we're selling, so they're not having an inspection.

I just talked to the realtor and she's going to see if she can get the first people to come up some more. Hopefully we'll have this all figured out by Monday.

I just feel bad...

So long as a contract is not signed you are not legally required to keep the first accepted bid. Yeah it ***** for the buyers but if the other offer is that much better for you - then think about it.

ALso though - even though they bid that much doesnt mean they can get 1) the mortgage and 2) accepted by the board - so take that into consideration too.

when we were first looking at co-ops someone did that to us - accepted out offer and then took another one over our's. i guess something happened with that offer though, because for months after we found and moved into a differnt co-op, that orignial one was still for sale....
so, i guess what i'm telling you is to make sure you look not just at the amounts the people are giving you - but also at the people who are offerning the money.
more money doesn't always mean good news
