We got our Marriage License this morning!
We went to 1 Centre Street in Manhattan. It was really easy ![]()

I got the certified check yesterday from my bank (for $35.00). We got to the building at about 8:30 AM. Showed ID, got bags scanned, went through the metal detectors then went up to the 2nd floor. Everyone that works there was really nice and helpful (weird, tight?) They were all congratulating us! I felt so special! ![]()

You go up to the counter to get the application (show ID and certified check). Fill out the application then go to a really quick line. There were 5 windows open so we were only on line for about 5 minutes. We sit down with the clerk who takes our application and asks us a few questions. We actually filled out part of it incorrectly because it asks for our mom's MAIDEN names and I put married names. Oh well, we fixed it and were done in about 5 more minutes. Then we went to the cashier, gave her the check, she gave us the computer printed marriage license and we were on our merry way!![]()
