Congrats, I called the clerk's office they said there is no need for appt's this is the Manhasset and Huntington offices of course....

Yep, you can get your marriage license up to 60 days prior to your wedding date. We knew this would be the last day we could both take off work (until the wedding), so we figured better to do it now before it got too close.
We got our license in White Plains (Westchester County), and I have to say it was THE easiest experience in my wedding planning thus far!

Hi Wedding Twin!!
We went to the White Plains City Clerk's office on Main Street in White Plains. Its an easy trip on MetroNorth RR to White Plains from Manhattan if that is easier for you guys.
No appointments necessary. We were the only ones in the place! Just filled out the paperwork, showed our birth certifs and drivers licenses, and paid the fee
Also, this was a shock but they actually took CREDIT CARDS (Visa, MasterCard) as payment of the marriage license ($40). Everywhere else I was told cash or money orders only.
Good Luck!! YES we are soo close now!!

Congrats! Your FH's email was cute! I'm glad White Plains' was easy. FH can't take any time off work (new job as of last week) so we will have to go to White Plains at lunch or go into work late or something. He works on Bloomingdale Road, so its not far for him to go back to work.
