We got our marriage license yestrday, have question on name?
I took his last name but kep my name also, do I need to change allmy documents?

For right now I am not sure. But do NOT change your passport or license. If you are going abroad on your HM you will need to have your proofs of identity to match the names on your tickets.

Seriously about the name ask the newlyweds cause some of them hyphenate.

Wacky, I work for a financial firm and we have to check IDs for certain transactions and your name must match your IDs exactly - if you are going to hyphenate, then change everything to hyphenated. But, make sure you do after you HM so that your tickets match your current IDs.

I added his name on to mine for all paper work. Just makes things easier to have everything consistant.

Wacky if you get an answer to this can you let me know? We're getting our marriage license June 13 and I intend to use BOTH my maiden name AND his name and want to know what that requires me legally to do.... Thanks!
