We had our sonogram today-NOW with a photo in the first post

I got to see my peanut for the first time today. Wow. It was amazing. Since I am only in my 9th week the baby is still small, but he/she had little arm buds and leg buds moving around. We video taped the sonogram so we can show the baby when he/she gets older. It was a very amazing experience- except for the water. OMG. I thought I would die or go right there on the table!
Okay, I promise the Christmas Photos will be better

SO where is the pix??? When I get preggo, I know my hubby will enjoy these times, he never got to do it like this the first time around, all the best Michele.

Yay Michele!!! That's so awesome!! I know what you mean about the water thing. After about an hour with the thingy pressing on my very full bladder, I didn't even care about what the baby looked like anymore, I had to go so badly!!!

Michele .... this is so exciting! We had ours last week on Wed & got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. Its so amazing. I never even knew that you could video tape it ... that's terrific!!!

hey, what's the deal with all the water?? what do you mean? did you have to drink a lot to get a sonogram???

You have to drink 32oz of water about 45 minutes prior to your sonogram. And then HOLD it until they are done. It was not easy.

did they say what the reasoning behind the water was? I don't really see the point?

I was wondering what you meant about the water too. Poor thing. I would have wanted to burst too.

I have only had internals so far, so I haven't had to deal with the water thing. I go for sono #4 next Monday.

It's very exciting! Especially when you keep seeing the differences in the sonograms!! Congrats!

As for the peeing thing, I went for my Level 2 on Thursday and my appt. was for 2:30. I peed when I got off the train (had to go into a diner) at 1:15 and figured it was an hour and 15 minutes before the test, I'm good. Well, GOOD THING I WENT BECAUSE I WASN'T SEEN UNTIL 4PM!!!!! And since you have to drink water, by the time I was called, I had to go so badly, I couldn't walk straight!!! When the dr. saw me after the technician first looked, she checked out the heart and then sent me straight to the bathroom because I HAD TOO MUCH IN MY BLADDER!!!!! I peed for 10 minutes straight and felt like I had lost 20 pounds when I left that bathroom!!!
