We had to put my kitty down

A few weeks ago, I posted that my almost 17 year old cat had stopped eating on his own. Well, we spoon fed and hydrated him and he perked up a bit, but ultimately, today was his time. Over this past week, I saw him slow down and then crawl around. He tried hiding in a few places and last night his haws were up on his eyes, his breathing was shallow and he crawled into the kitchen and tried to hide behind the refrigerator. Mom brought him to the vet and he said that the max Tabby would have would be another week IF he received constant treatment, and even that wasn't guaranteed. The vet suggested the humane thing was to euthanize. So now Tabby is in kitty heaven and our surviving cat Shadow is in need of a companion or two (he was been extremely lonely since Tabby got sick)

If anyone has kittens, please FM. Shadow and my family need them to help with the healing process.

Not only kittens, but young cats. We think two would be nice. Shadow is 14 and we don't want another older cat. We are actually looking for two kittens, so that they could have each other after Shadow's time comes (I think he has some time, but you never know when they get into the teens)

I am sorry about the loss of your kitty...we got Chloe at Save a Pet in Port Jeff Sta. and were very happy with them.

I am so sorry! Putting an animal to sleeps is one of the hardest decisons to make, but from your story it sounds like you did everything you could and now tabby is at peace...
I heard that the animal shelters have a lot of kittens this time of year. We went looking at in the winter and were told to come back april/ may because thats when they anticipate a lot of litters.

I am so soooooo sorry. My cat is 15 this summer so I can empathasize with how you must be feeling. I m soooooooooooo sorry.

I am so sorry for your loss.....I hope your kitty did not suffer too much in his last time with you.....

I watched as almost all of my kitties suffered as they passed away...they all got very sick....

I am so sorry . Please accept my deepest of sympathy.
I had 3 cats die on me over freak things, one was 5 yrs old, one was 18 months old and one was 8 weeks old. I know how it feels. I am still not over it. For some reason I kept getting sick kitties, I know have 2 healthy cats.
Please give your other kitty lots of hugs. And here are some hugs for u.

I am so sorry! I know how it feels to loose a pet. They become one of the family.
