We have a reception dilemma re:time...

We went into CB last night and since our count has grown and continues to, our BM mentioned that if we bump up the cocktail hour by a half an hour they will open up the entire room for us. So our cocktail hour would start at 7 instead of 7:30 and the reception would end at 12 instead of 12:30.
The ceremony starts at 4 and we are 15 minutes from CB. I kind of wanted a later reception but I guess if my guests will be snug in the smaller room at the CH than we should bump it up. Currently the room will be separated by a wall. If we move to 7, the wall will be taken down and we will have the entire room.
Suggestions please...

I am having my church at 5:30..
Should be about an hr and 15 mins...

Then my coctail hr at 8;30!!!!!!!!

Wanda, I think you should do it. You want your guests to be as comfortable as possible.

With the amount of people you are having and all the friggin $$$$ you are spending when all is said and done they may throw in the Vienniese hour for you.

CB = Chateu Briand.....I get it .....it took awhile

(oops) BTW, I think you should do it...... more room will be better for your guests. 7pm is a completely reasonable time to begin!

You will still have plenty of time - I would DEFINITELY take the larger room.

UGH okay...
I wasn't really excited when he mentioned it. But to avoid the ba$tards complaining they don't have room during the cocktail hour I will have to do it.

Kysha I have to put my negotiating cap back on b/c I have many a things to chat with him about in a few days...
