We have our appointment

With our church on saturday!!!! Finally!!! I was so excited when he called last night. I think he knew I was too!!!! and finally after all the stuff we went through with getting in touch with them!!!

I already met our priest...its funny we've hung out at a bar with him a few times...he's hilarious without even trying to be...

We have no FOCCUS, pre-cana is 1 day and its free and we only have to pay $300 for the ceremony including everything!!!

I am a little nervous though. We don't really go to church except for holidays. But he sounded really really nice on the phone. What do they ask you at your first meeting??

We met with our priest back in April and well every Sunday he requires us to attend church and write a three paragraph paper on how church is preparing us for marriage.
We are not very religious ppl, but our families are and well we thought it would look bad if we did not get married in the church, but this is just SO crazy. It is very hard to attend mass every Sunday and well we already got in trouble by him because we haven't gone every Sunday.

our priest was nice and didnt really say toooo much...just general conversation and asked us the basics about the wedding and the dates we were interested in and just if we were looking to have a mass or ceremony. we had to fill out surveys and stuff beforehand to hand in. he gave us the precana stuff and we're just supposed to touch base every once in a while until its time for precana.

Snowcutie- too bad we can't do precana together. Or can we....? When we met with our priest he didn't even mention precana- I think he forgot! Haha. Guess we better remind him!

i dont think we can cuz u have to have a session with the priest and stuff to discuss your life and the church etc. but there is a retreat weekend for precana that we could both be at at the same time...but i dont know if i can do everything ALL at once!!!

im actually not looking forward to precana...hahaha it makes me nervous. so do u tell the truth about your 'relationship' or are we supposed to say we're sleeping in 2 beds!

Don't be..nothing to be scared about....trust me! I felt the same way until I actually went down there..and then i thought that wasn't that bad!!!!!!!!!!!

the priest asked us why we wanted to get married, how we met, just basic stuff about your relationship to see if your ready for commitment..trust me girls it went well!!!!!!!!! nothing to be scared about!
