we just did our taxes

and we arent getting back much at all.
i am so pissed.

same happened to us and were both pissed

everybody keeps saying 'well its bc you dont own alot and blah blah blah' so you dont put in much

really so taking out $600 out of every paycheck isnt giving much W** lol...i understand what theyre saying but at the same how can that be said, i think they forget that taxes taken out each paycheck is giving to the government and claiming 0 you get alot taken out. Fh had 11k taken out just for federal government, i guess that doesnt count as putting in

and thats with putting a good amount into my TDA every check which is pre-tax money - taxes are INSANE!!!
even if you make a good salary; you only bring home about half that!!!

seriously it pisses me off. The whole Social security thing pisses me off more bc they take money out but meanwhile none of us will see it

We havent even looked at our taxes yet We are trying to get past the wedding first and I guess we will do them when we get back from the HM. I wish we had brought the house at the end of 07 instead of the beginning of 08 cause now we have to wait a whole year to deduct the house. I wont even tell you how much FH pays in federal taxes. Last year he only got back 6000...which may seem good but relative to how much he put in its horrible,

I only got $700...but FH is homeowner so i wonder how much he will get. hopefully it'll help...I thought my $700 would go towards the wedding...and then we got slammed with a $1200+ oil bill. there goes that extra wedding money

I was actually very happy with what were getting back. It's more than what I was expecting. I mean, 9k isn't even close to what we put in (obviously) but its a nice chunk of change to get back. Too bad it's going straight to bills!

yea its horrible...but thankfully I am getting that 600 dollar check from the govt...Fh is pissed that he isnt eligible for it.

i'm not getting much back either i get so much taken out of my paycheck. its not right.
