How bad would it look if I printed the outsides of the envelopes for our invitations, and handwrote the inner envelopes??? I have nice handwriting, but I think my hand would give out on me!!! Thanks!

I think that would be fine. If I were the recipient I would not be offended. I think it is much more important to include a personal message in your handwriting in your thank-you cards. Who cares about the address anyway. There is probably less chance of it being returned in the mail if it is generated by a computer anyway. It's etiquette to handwrite the address as a personal gesture to your guests but everyone knows that the brides only do it because they feel they have to or they have others help them do it anyway. Not very personal in the end so why bother.

If you have nice handwriting, I would say go for handwriting the outer envelopes...I did and it did not take as long as I thought it would...probably not much longer than trying to figure it out on the computer...

If you decide to print them out...I think its fine...I'm never offended by computer generated envelopes...

Past three invitations I have gotten only had the outter envelope with wording on it.... so I followed suit. Why do the extra work???

I have also received invitations with no inner envelope, but I just think when you take the time to handwrite your envelopes you say to your guests...I think so much of you that I took time out to do this...

younger guests might not noticed, but I'm sure older guests will...
