Finally! But we still don't know for sure when the sellers will be moving out- that's okay, enough info for a happy weekend!

CONGRATS!!!!
upon closing, don't you receive the keys and the house is yours? i thought the 30 day grace period applies to the closing date stated on the contract and not to when you actually close.

Our attorney told us that the sellers have five days to move out after closing- if it takes them longer then they have to pay the buyers $150/day!
But I just heard really annoying news. Now the sellers want to push off the closing to NEXT Thursday, the 17th! I'm so mad- why do they keep changing things?!!!

not sure if it is too late, but i would ask your attorney to clarify the 'retention/possesion' clause. our attorney ommitted this from our contract.

February 1st- can you believe it!
My understanding from our lawyer is that the sellers can push back the closing date up to 30 days from the date indicated from the contract- so, we expected not to close on Feb 1st- that was okay with us. But then, the said the 15th- we said okay- then they said the 10th, we said okay- and now they are saying the 17th!
