WE just refinanced!

IM so excited! Since we did it through the same bank, we didnt have closing costs (!!! thats HUGE!)
and we moved it from a 30yr to a 15yr. A little more per month but WELL worth it in the end.

We did it last April, and got 6.0, then did it again, and got 5.5
You got a great price.

Anna - Congrats! That is great, we are in the process of re-financing (for the 2nd time) our Co-op - What bank are you using? We use HSBC and I have never heard of no closing costs, maybe it is because I am in Co-op rather than house?

was this an actual re-fi or a modification of your loan? i know certain intitutions allow you to modify your loan one time only over the lifetime of the loan (no closing costs involved), provided you shorten the term of your loan (go from a 30 year to a 15 year etc). either way.. it's EXCELLENT! unfortunatly our institution does not allow for modification.. but we just bought back in march so got a great rate as well. but it would have been great to have for the future!

Lauren.Im not sure, Im assuming we refinanced since thats what hubby said I dont get involved in financial stuff
Isnt refinancing modification of a current loan anyway? This stuff confuses me

ETA: Lauren I just asked John, its not a loan modification, its a refinance Theyre covering all closing costs
