We keep getting No's!!!!

A lot of people we expected to come to our wedding aren't coming....I am getting so depressed and also worried about making our minimum...soon I'll be asking you girls to come I know the people that will be there are the ones that really matter but I never expected this to happen.

I'm right there with you girl. I DON'T think we're making our minimum....FH's family really dissappointed us...they're only going to have 1 table...and he's got 11 FIRST cousins.

So, rather than getting down about those who cannot attend, be thankful and HAPPY for those who ARE coming....and who will have an AMAZING time! That's what I'm doing!

We invited more than that (granted like 70% of our wedding guests, and us is OOT). We're looking at around 130 at this point (and we guaranteed 150!). I don't mind the size, it's just paying for people who aren't there

Sorry to hear that, dont get upset. Regardless if theres 20 people there or 200, it doesnt change the fact that on that day you will be marrying the love of your life. I know it stinks not to meet your minimum, we have that same problem so far, but im trying to not get stressed over it.

The same thing happened to us. Alot of people who we were almost positive were going to attend couldnt. Then others we were positive would not come did.

I think in the summer months people usually go away on vacation, family trips, etc. so maybe that's why the decline rate is higher in the summer?

i'll give you some of mine.. i'm hardly getting any no's. i only have 16 no's out of god knows how many yes's.. i still have lots to go. don't worry more people will respond yes.

I think because of prom, dance recitals, graduation. I mean these months. Because I heard the excuses from people responding no. Oh an someone else in there family is getting married. I heard that one too. So I think. June, July and August are really busy months for people.

Awe hun - Us girls would be so happy to watch you marry your true love!

We are just under our minimum by 2 people - not too bad, but I was also surprised by how many people declined the invitation. And quite a few people that I had to contact one way or another. Your day will still be wonderful no matter how many people are there

These are 'wedding months' so people wind up having more than one affair usually. And, it is the summer so some people have vacations booked and so on.

Thats why I sent out Save The Dates 11 months before the wedding....hopeing people would keep the date reserved/

Oh, but to comment on the original topic...I don't think we are making our guarantee either and I haven't sent out the invites yet!! I just have a feeling FH's family (majority of the guest list) will really disappoint us.
