We know where we'll be living after we get married!
This is EXCITING!!!! ![]()
So...FH and his parents jointly own a two-family house. He has been living in the furnished basement apartment for years, acting as the on-site landlord for the top two floors.
Well...a few weeks ago the first-floor tenants gave notice that they'll be out of there as of September 1st. FH and I got to talking and decided that we'd like to take that apartment since it is huge...1 1/2 bathrooms, big kitchen, lots of closet space, extra room that we're planning on keeping the guitars and recording equipment in and SOUNDPROOFING the room for great acoustics (wheeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). So since we're old-school in not living together until we're married, he's going to take it over and we'll be working on things throughout the next ten months...painting, ripping up carpet, laying down new floors, etc. etc. etc.
This also means that we can get ideas of what kind of furniture we'd like. (Though we both maintain separate apartments, we do need some new stuff...and now we can also decide on what we're keeping too!)
