So I think we made our RH decision. Three Village Inn. I love the quaintness of it, and its perfect for the fall, rustic feel I'm going for. So now we need to go back and talk money. Our appointment this past weekend was really just a quick walk through. So what questions should I ask? I know most of you ladies have already gone through this so any help would be much appreciated.

Congrats! I wrote a few questions down and then forgot my paper. Get an exact menu...like what options you have and have them circle them and write them on the contract. Also make sure if you have top shelf bar you get that written it...whatever they say is included and you negotiate on get it in the contract. Also ask about linens, how much you have to pay for vendors and if house vendors are cheaper (sometimes they eat free or half price) what the price for kids is. Get the total price written down. Have them break it down...price per person, 20% service fee and tax so you can know what the total amount is for. Also how many hours the total party will be. thats the most important i can think of so far...

this! you can ask them about their menus - a lot of venues offer combined courses that take the place of an appetizer and salad alone. I know Fox Hollow does this, not sure about others, but they actually bring you your palate cleanser sorbet even if on the floor dancing!

Try to get as much thrown in and included as possible. Once the contract is signed you have little negotiating ability but before then, they have to please you enough to get you to sign. If you want something you have to fight a little for it, even if it is just to get the price down a little bit.

Thanks everyone for the advice. We found the perfect place for us and got a good price. This week we will go hammer out the final details and get a contract together. It seems so much more real now, with a date and a place. I can't wait to start planning all the fun details.

It's a really cute place. I just never considered it because my ex- high school sweet heart is one of their main - heads of staff.
