We made our rehearsal dinner invites!

We made them last night and they came out great! They are on white paper, backed on red cardstock, with a pearlized vellum overlay. On top of the vellum we put either a rose or a silver heart with rhinstones. The look great so I thought I'd share!

Your invites are gorgeous! I am very impressed! I am planning on making my own wedding invites. Did you get the envelopes first, them measure out the invites? Just curious. Thanks!

Jar823, this is how we made them. FH designed the text and made it look great. He used the fonts that coordinate with our wedding invite (and program which he is also designing). Then, at Michael's we got the cardstock in red, with envelopes that fit it, crisp white paper which we cut to size, and the vellum which we cut to size. We also bought the decorative do-hickies! We printed out the text on the cut white paper and spray mounted it on the card stock. Then we spray mounted the vellum on the back of the card and folded it over the front. Then we crazy glued the do-hickies! It sounds harder than it was, but with a paper slicer it wasn't that bad!
