Brian said I should put in a bid and he totally trusts my opinion. He hasn't even seen it! Should I bid? It's going for $380000, what should I bid? It looks like it fell out of a Pier One catalog. It's beautiful. They have a semi inground pool, full finished basement, an extra full bathroom in the basement....They even have a 'Mud Room' ie a full foyer with French Doors I could lock the puppies in during the day.
What should I do???? Should I chance losing it? WHat should I bid? SHould I do it without Brian's opinion??????

Have you looked around a lot. The house sounds beautiful but maybe a bit high for a 2 bedroom. Did you go over the comps w/your realtor so you know how to bid.
The only other thing I can think of is Malverne schools aren't supposed to be the best, look into this if this is a concern for you.

I know, but there is a full finished attic with an additional bathroom. I went to Malverne and even though it has a sketchy rep, it's not the teachers. I think I received a great education there~all of my friends went to college and made something of themselves.. You have to see this house, it's mint. Everything has been updated, appliances, paint, wood floors, tiles....new pool and deck. Jacuzzi tub. You have to see this house though. It's beautiful. Compared to what I have seen, it's well worth the money. I won't have to put any moeny in to fix it up. I can just enjoy it....

have you looked around at what similar houses have sold for? That would give you a good idea of where to start bidding. You can start low and always go higher (though you run the risk of being outbid if there are others interested)
Its been my experience that when a seller 'counters' they do it to all open bids. So you can move up from there.

i think you can find out if they are taking binders. then if you give them like 100 bucks, they have to speak to you before thay accept another offer. check that out. good luck!

What did you decide to do?
I wanted to put in an offer w/out DH seeing it, you can always w/drawl the offer- everything is 'pending'. I didn't, b/c he refused, but that's another story.
I think I saw this listing on mls.. since I camp out on that sight all day long- lol and if it's the one I'm thinking of, it's gorgeous!!!! I just am looking for more than 2 bedrooms, but it is mint, and you wouldn't have to do any work, major +++++++++
