we might finally have picked our invites

as you can tell we are so crunched for time, and need to pick invites ASAP. Well one sample i really wanted, i made a mistake when ordering it so i had to order it again recently and luckily it came in so quick and just got it today. The moment i saw it i was even FH was like OK wow thats it. I am going to call and see how fast it would take for them to do them and deliver it to me so hopefully soon. Surprisingly these will come out to less than the other blue/chocolate brown/ivory pocket fold invites we were deciding between. I told fh we can get it in taupe or chocolate brown but he said he loves the color as is and who cares if its not our colors hahahaha and i feel the same, the color is beautiful. SO unless something goes wrong we're going to order these, i hope it goes well and they can get it to us in time. Funny enough calligrapher responded back to me and she is available to do my invites for when i need them done.

see my dress i bought 14 months before the wedding lol so everyone does things differently. If you tell a company you NEED it by a certain date you'll be surprised how fast all of a sudden they'll work...Theyre not going to lose the money they can get from you

yeah i thought the dress was way more important also. I don't even think we're that late... I know your place is in London so it might be harder but like you said they want your money so they'll get them to you... but mine said they could have the proof in 2-3 days and the invites in like a week or two. So there's still plenty of time.

OH WOW that is great that you'll get them so quick. Its so funny bc this sample from UK came in ALOT quicker than companies in the US, i was shocked hahaha. I wasnt even expecting them

Are they from Imagine Wedding in the UK? I was going to use them for my invites but then I found someone in Chicago who could make them. I figured it was just easier to use a company in the US.

its funny bc the samples i ordered from US companies took ALOT longer than they did. Others took even 2 weeks for a sample, they sent it to me in less than a week. Is it the same price as this company? which btw it is the UK company. And have you ordered a sample to see their quality? I compared this invite to other pocket fold invites and the quality of the cardstock is so different. I realized how different after i got these. Its very hard, and not paperlike that will get all folded, kind of like a thin book cover

ETA: duh just noticed you already are married, i just read your post quick...so yeah im guessing you ordered

I found my invites in Savannah , GA on a whim. My best friend lived down there and I would fly down to see her every few months and shop for a wedding dress, invites, etc.

She took me to a local woman who owns her own wedding store with favors, invites, the works! I found exactly what I was looking for so I ordered the invites.

I actually found a dress a year ago and fell in love with it. I went to the bridal store to order it and the owner told me that style was discontinued.

I had to start a new search, I found one, BUT.......the bridal store I am ordering from told me that even if I order in January I could still end up getting it in July or August because of all the may/june/july weddings. He swears if I order in april I will still get it by the end of July.

if he can guarantee it to you then go for it, you would have plenty of time if you get it then. I ordered my dress in march of 07 and i cant believe that next month, well a few short weeks it will be in the store finally.

I only ordered a sample from this company then the company I used and I got them both pretty quickly. The company I used actually sent me two samples b/c we changed the colors. I ordered the boxed invitation sample from Imagine Wedding and loved it when I got it. I just needed something with 2 pocket folds b/c I ended up having 5 inserts. The quality of the paper was the same…my RSVP card & Reception card was actually thicker than the ones the UK company sent me. There’s were only one sheet of cardstock and the ones I ordered were 3 sheets layered.
