because we are calling an agent to get some info on a house today!

florida - we would still rent here though until we were ready to go - so we'd be paying the mortgage off for awhile even though we wouldnt actually be living there - probably for at least a year we wouldnt move - but we can swing our rent and the mortgage and still manage to save money up here....its an amazing house - to good to pass up so thats why we are inquiring....built in 2005, on half an acre, huge inground pool, 2608 square feet hahahaha.....my mom is going to do a drive by for us

That is so amazing! I want a house like that. I want out of LI someday so I can have it with out having to pay a fortune for it. I want my kids to be able to have a nice yard to play in. I grew up with an in ground pool in PA and want the same in a few years...we'll see what happens

yeah - there is no way im paying upwards of 400K for a townhouse with a small backyard - when i picture us in a few years i see us with our kids in a nice big backyard, the kids are in the pool, FH is grilling on the bbq - i just cant see us in crammed in a townhouse with kids and i have no choice but to work if i want to keep up with the lifestyle we have right now - and i dont want to have to work....im just afraid florida will be really boring! my mom says a lot of people move there and after a year they leave because they hate it FH thinks we will love it - i hope he is right!

How exciting! You could always rent out the house to pay for the mortgage!

omg - my FH called and explained our situation to the agent - that we want to pro-long closing as long as possible because we are getting married in december....she is going to call the seller and feel them out on the situation - market in the area isnt great for sellers - for example the house across the street from my mom has been on the market for almost 2 years and its new construction and gorgeous! you would think that because the market is good for buyers that a lot of houses would be selling but down there its not the case....but anyways - FH asked if the price was negotiable and the agent told him absolutely - its listed for 210K which for us seems so low so we assumed that it was a firm 210 - but apparently not which is awesome FH and I are like freaking out either nothing will come of this OR we'll be in florida next weekend checking out the place
