We went to a wedding yesterday!
My friend got married yesterday and although it was tough getting around to the church and the hall, we all had a great time! The bride was as happy as can be and did not let the weather dampen her moods at all. Only about 12 people didn't show up which is not bad.
All her vendors showed without fail and the limo company (didn't get their names but I wish I did) even upgraded her at no charge to an Escalade SUV limo to be safer in the weather.
Windows on the Lake was a beautiful place. It all went off without a hitch. The food and service was ok and the maitre'd (sp?) seemed very helpful to my friend all night.
The DJ was IV Generation. They really did a good job and the MC really got the guests onto the dance floor. We had made a few requests but none of them were played which was alright because they played good music anyway. Their only downfall would be that during dinner, they played all Billy Joel songs. It's like they put on the Greatest Hits CD and left. Don't get me wrong, I love Billy, but it would have been nice to hear more of a variety of songs. It was only dinner though so it wasn't a big deal.
She used James Cress for her bouquets and they came out great!
In all, we had a great time and I am so happy we were able to get through the snow to enjoy it!
