I don't post on here this board that much b/c we're living and house hunting in Chicago. But, I read it all the time for info on the mortgages, decorating, etc.
Well I just wanted to share, b/c I'm so excited, that we won the bid we put in on a 3 bedroom condo in Chicago! We've been looking for a few months and fell in love on Tuesday! There was another couple bidding against us (my DH knows the guy ) and we won! We signed all the mortgage papers today and inspection is Monday! We should close May 2!!

I don't have a picture yet! Our families in NY and PA are going crazy wanting to see it. I will have DH take some Monday when he goes for the inspection!!

We just found out that after we won the bid, the couple we bid against put in another higher one! But, we still had better contingencies on ours and the seller said they were already signing the contract. My DH better run when he sees that guy coming - he won't be too happy with us. S*cks that he knows who we bid against!! Luckily, I don't know they guy's wife - imagine if they had been friends of ours!
