Wearing BM dress as guest to wedding??

FH and I are attending a wedding in April. I LOVE these two tealength bridesmaid dresses. Have you ever heard of anyone ordering a BM dress to wear as a guest to a wedding?? I would get either of these dresses in black, so it's not like it would look toooo bridemaidish. What are your opinions on this?? Do you think these dresses look too bridesmaidish??

Hey babe! oooh i like the first one the best...i dont think it's too bridesmaidish esp in black...the second one with the tulling is a little more like bm imo but honestly i think you could get away with either.

Thanks Sandy! I think I like the first one better too! I agree about the tulle looking a little more BMish.

i own a strapless jcrew bridesmaid dress. it's basically a standard black strapless dress. i've worn it to multiple weddings but jcrew may be different from other designers. either way though, i don't think it will look BM-y - especially in black.

I would totally do it. I would even do it if you already have a BM dress that you like and couldn't wear to any other occasion. Why not? It's not like it'll be the same exact dress and color of the BMs there.
