I worry about swimming in the ocean on my honeymoon with my ring.... It's a little big (I had them put balls in it but I may have them switch it to bigger balls) and I worry about swimming with it on. I dont want to leave it in the hotel safe because it's my HONEYMOON and where else are you supposed to wear your E-ring and wedding band together for the first time if not on your honeymoon!?? Also, is salt water bad for it?
Does anyone have any suggestions?? Should I just forfit the ring for the days I plan on snorkling and go back and get it after? I also worry about the pool... has anyone heard of anyone losing their ring swimming or should I be ok?

we went on a cruise in october. fh and i were worried about that so when we were out on our excursions like snorkling and swimming i locked it in the safe. when we were hanging out on the ship and out for dinner i wore my e ring......hth

I know I have worn my ring to the beach and in the pool and i dont think its hurt it..if it has I never noticed. I would defintely have it fixed size wise before you go swimming with it thats for sure.

I was wondering about this too....I'm a little nervous about my rings on the Honeymoon, but like you said when do want to wear them more than just after your newly married, I'm guessing I will just be locking them up on our cruise a bunch

I have ALWAYS worn my E-Ring on vacation. Swimming in the pools, Swimming with the Dolphins...Never a Problem. Just be sure to get it steamed/cleaned when you get homes because the suntan lotion can leave a residue...HTH

i was wondering about this too...i am worried to wear it in the shower as it is (i always take it off)...definately get it sized, make sure it dosnt feel like it will slideoff.

i wore them the whole time we were on our HM .. with the plan of leaving them in the safe if need be--- iof you feel safer get the balls changed...

I didn't wear my e-ring only my wedding bands. Mine's a little big and I didn't want to even take a chance on it. If you're nervous about it then leave it off, otherwise you won't enjoy yourself, you'll be too worried about losing them.

I NEVER wear my ring in the pool or the ocean. I dont want to take a chance with it. You could always leave it in the safe during the time your at the pool and put it back on in the evening when going out to dinner. You dont even know how many people i know that lost their diamond jewlery in the water...

I heard about this too...but does everyone trust these safes in resorts or cruises? I have a tendency not to trust anyone so I don't know what to do either

i will wear them for the entire honeymoon, and move them to bigger fingers if they feel a bit loose. i dont think i could stand leaving them behind! ill be too excited to have my wedding band :)

I won't be wearing mine swimming. I don't even wear it in the shower. FH would kill me if he saw me wearing my rings in the ocean-he'd be so afraid it would slip off of my finger.

I was with a girlfriend at the beach a few summers ago when she lost a diamond earing in the ocean. She looked and looked but obviously she never found it. After that I am kinda scarred, lol. I think I would leave my ering in the safe when going swimming. I wouldnt want to get lotion or anything on it anyways.

I wore mine all on the honeymoon-beach, pool, snorkling...I never take them off and wasn't about to then.
