we're thinking of changing our date to october 18th next year. we're having it at the riviera, so there's an outside cocktail hour (that i REALLY want) but im afraid its gonna be too cold to have it outside at that time. what do you guys think? what was it like last year?

Re: weather in october
Can you do a search on the weather channel to see how the past couple of October 18ths have been? That would probably give you the best idea of what the weather is like that time of year.

Alst year was one of the rainiest in history!!! I should know, I got married october 29th, the ONLY sunny day the whole month (except for the day after). Upstate it was 52 degress, I think you may be OK for the 18th still, but it really just depends on the day.....

no, it is not cold like that in October. Our wedding is the 20th. The most you will have is a fall chill in the air, nothing major. We purposely choose October for this reason, the weather is just right & comfortable!
I think last year it was around 55-60 degrees, i cant remember it being cold... but check the weather stats.

i'll be getting married in 22 days 19 hours, 52 minutes, 14 seconds.... what i did to help me pick a day in october was to check the Farmers' Almanac.
i went to barnes and noble and i looked through them... there are two, if i remember correctly. i picked the best day that fit us. for me, it wasn't so much the temperature, it's a matter of humidity.... my bp and i have curly hair and we're very particular

Re: weather in october
Weather.com has a wedding section on their website. Here is the link:
Just go to the box that says 'Set the Date' and click on 'get typical weather' then type in your zip code then choose your month at it will tell you the average weather for each day of that month. Hope this helps!!
Also, you can try www.wunderground.com but their website is kinda confusing.

Basically what I was going to post too. I got married on the 30th and was able to have an outdoor morning ceremony. We were going to try and have the CH outside too, but where our CH would have taken place there were a lot of trees and it would have been chilly.

I think the majority of the time it would be okay. It is just a matter of luck. You can definetly look up the past weather, but still it's a hard thing to tell. Good luck!
