Weather Predictors
Can anyone help in giving info on where I can find out what the weather will be like on the day I get married. I tried farmersalmanac.com but I can't figure out how to find a forecast for my wedding date - November 10. Thanks in advance.

If you go to www.weatherchannel.com on the site you can see what the average temp is for your day. I dont remember if it says what your weather will be but average temp might help! If you need help finding it, let me know but I think its under 'averages' or something like that! Good luck!

Try this site. I think you type in the location and it gives you all sorts of predictable weather info. http://www.uswx.com/us/planner/

If you go to theknot.com, there is a link down the bottom that says 'get your big day forecast' and brings you to a site that tells you the average amount of rainfall/snowfall and average temp. for that day. But, in my sister's earth science class, the teacher said that you can only accurately predict the weather 2 hours before it will happen!

I hope they are not accurate b/c there is a good chance that it will rain. Maybe I shouldn't look - it is only one more thing to stress out about.

I always get a kick out of reading these posts. I am a meteorologist, but I work in the air pollution field. I used to forecast (the fun stuff) in college. I don't know why an Earth Science teacher would make the broad claim that you can only predict the weather two hours in advance. Some weather events can be forecasted weeks ahead of time, and others, only minutes. Think of a hurricane vs. a tornado. The national weather service web address for our area is www.nws.noaa.gov/er/okx Be careful when using other internet sites, because they could be run by ameteurs or even children.
