Weather question

Is weather in the low - mid 70's warm enough to put Nicky in shorts??
I think it is, but I've never dressed a baby for warm weather before, so I thought I'd double check.

Re: Weather question

Jenn, when are you leaving? how exciting! Your first family vacation!

Hmm, 70's. hard to remember temps and what we wore with this stormy weather we have now, lol.
I would think outdoors in the Florida daytime sun, YES. but indoors with AC and in the evenings prepare for long pants/long sleeves or just have layers for him.

Re: Weather question

I just got back from FL. I was on both the Gulf Coast and East Coast. It was a bit cooler on the Gulf. Anyway, I had Lyla in a onesie outside in the sun on the warmer days, in the middle of the afternoon. Otherwise, she was in light cotton pants, and short/long sleeves and no socks until evening time.

It wasn't really hot at all. It was perfect weather (mid-70s), so for a baby I guess keeping them a bit more covered is best. I'm not a believer in overdressing either, but it did get windy and cool at night. No one had the A/C on where we were. I put her in a bathing suit 2x, but at the beach it was too windy, so we never took her pants off.

Re: Weather question

I agree with outside if its sunny. A/C is tricky with little ones-we are usually comfortable @ 67-68 degrees-inside thats a little too cool for a baby that's not been in it before. My son was born in July-almost 17 years ago & it was a record breaking summer-it was a challenge to go between central air & 100 degree temps. He lived in onesies when we were outdoors
Layers are your best bet. Have a GREAT trip

Re: Weather question

i would bring them but i think light outfits /pants will be good for him. Remember he doesn't do much so he won't work up a sweat like we do. What we did with Emily when we were in Florida 2 wks ago was layer her and peel off as the day goes. It starts off in the 50's in am and back to 50's around 4.

Have a ball - I can't wait to see the pics!!! Kayla might want to smother him with kisses now that she has seen what Ciara does to him :)
