I want to create my wedding website but I have no idea where to begin. My FH wants a personalized domain (doesn't mind paying for it). Is there like a 'wedding website' site? Sorry I am completely lost, any help would be really appreciated. TIA

Re: website
What a coinkidink! I was just searching the forums for this some suggestions on wedding websites, besides the ones on theknot.com, etc.
There are many free wedding websites. You can do a google search for many suggestions. A LOT of them are free and are very comprehensive. Some of the free ones I have seen are in: liweddings.com theknot.com getmarried.com weddingwire.com weddingchannel.com
Others offer both a free and a paid subscription. If you want your own domain name (ex: nameofbrideandnameofgrrom.com), you will most likely have to pay for it. I was ALMOST going to do mine on ewedding.com (paid subscription option), but then I saw wedmedo.com and I love it (paid subscription).
See what all of these choices offer and what you want out of a website. Good luck!

Re: website
i recommend weddingchannel.com its very user friendly and you do have the option to password protect it (the entire site or even just one or two specific pages). another thing i thought was nice about weddingchannel is that they will donate a percent of gifts purchsed off your registry when the person purchases it using your website link to your selected charity. (may not have explained it properly but heres a link to their page and the explanation they give)...
Gift Registry: Register at one of the partner retailers of WeddingChannel.com and select your favorite charity. Every time a wedding guest buys something off your registry via WeddingChannel.com, WeddingChannel.com will donate a percentage to the selected charity.
It looks absolutely amazing. You have to pay for it, but its not alot and it is sooooo worth it!!! I am going to use it, but I am waiting for my e-pics so I can post them when signing up for the site.

Re: website
We also have ours at wedsite.com
Paid for 2 yrs and have it password protected too (for the stalkers ) We even get a personalized web address.
a lot of websites offer free but you get a really long webpage address and limited design choices.

I used weddingwire.com and I really like it.
I finally decided on weddingwire.com too. Once I started looking into I realized i really didn't want to pay anything for it. I was shocked by how easy weddingwire made it to put the website together, plus I don't think it looks half bad!
thanks for all your suggestions ladies. really appreciate it!
