I remember seeing somewhere on this site the mention of a website where you can put in a dress designer and dress ID# and potentially get the dress cheaper. Does anyone know the website I am talking about? What is the web address? Thank you!

I've used netbride.com for Bridesmaid dresses (great experience) and I think they do bridal gowns also..
You can go on their website and request a free quote for the dress.... which you can then print out and bring to a bridal shop and use that to negotiate the price down, if you wanted to go to a shop...

I would just call or email Phyllis from www.gownfind.com -- cheaper prices, but way more reliable than the online stores. She can also do the alterations for you!

I used www.pearlsplace.com for my wedding gown. They don't quote prices over the internet.....you have to phone them. They have a bridal salon in LA but offer thier dresses all over the place :) Good luck!

RK bridal.... their no frills service. You have to call them for a quote. I bought my gown that way, and found it comforting that I could physically go to a well-established store to sort out problems.
the gown even showed up one month earlier than they predicted!!!

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was the specific shop that I was referring to above. Check out my review if you'd like to. There were other brides, just on LIW that had problems with them too.
Always check out the Better Business Bureau!!!!!!!
