Websites
Hi there, I know it's probably been addressed before, but I was thinking about putting up a website for our wedding. I was just wondering how much it costs if you wanted your own site. Thanks, Cira

Websites
You can make your own site at TheKnot.com or WeddingChannel.com. Don't pay for it if you don't have to! You've got a wedding pay for and plan...good luck!

Depends
There are some free sites out there-- a few of us use Homestead and they are/were great for the novice but now they went to charging--of course I couldnt give it up (and it was only $20 for the year) but many sites...aol..yahoo..etc allow you to build a free site Once you start it gets addicting!! What we did...
The sites on theknot and wedding channel are very nice for basic stuff. If you want to add a lot of info - its not very useful. There are free web servers (i.e. angelfire) but the ads and popups are really annoying in my opinion. We used Homestead. Really easy to use for someone who knows nothing of web design. Personally I think the $20/year is worth it. But thats just my opinion. This is my site: www.lukeanstefanie.homestead.com

Thanks for the info ....
Thanks ladies, Homestead sounds good - if I was going to build a site (which I probably am), I wanted to be able to add links and other pages. You guys are right weddings are expensive enough already. Stefanie - liked the site, especially the links! You guys look nice together! I'll keep you posted.

Doesn`t Homestead still have a free version?
I thought I read that homestead is offering a free version? Or maybe that`s for existing customers. The free version is limited to only 3 pages, and a smaller amount of memory, but it`s still large enough for wedding photos, etc.
