Weddingwire.com is a good site for inspiration . they have a lot of pictures to look through and if you sign up you can make your own inspiration board and even upload your own pictures to it.

HotelPlanner.com: It is a site you can use for booking blocks of rooms at hotels. What you do is indicate how many rooms you would like in your block and the location(s) you would like for the hotel to be near, and then hotels BID for your service! Once you receive a few bids you can use the lower bids to negotiate with the hotel(s) that you really want!! It worked for me! The hotel that offered me the highest bid negotiated down in price to the price of the lowest bid I received after I declined their initial bid! I couldn't be happier because the hotel I ended up with was my top choice!!

theperfectpalette.blogspot.com: This site is great for color palatte ideas. They have so many different inspiration boards and photos that incorporate various colors together. It's a great site to get inspiration for your color palatte as well as to see how certain colors look together if you're unsure what colors you want to use!

Template Website: This site has various templates that you can use to make custom water bottle labels, 'Love'saver labels (to put on Lifesavers), etc.

No you don't have to decide right away. Some of the hotels indicated within their price quote on hotelplanner.com that they would honor the quote for about a week. I requested quotes and then once I received some quotes I declined the quote from my top choice hotel (which was the most expensive quote I received) and made a counter offer (to match the lowest quote I received). About 2 days later they offered me the hotel at the price that I requested...I was SOOO happy!! (What's great about this site is all of the hotels can see all the other quotes you received, so it's great for negotiating). Then that weekend my mom and I went to visit the hotels I was considering to see sample rooms. My top choice hotel ended up being my fav in person as well. After visiting, I went back and forth with the hotel and they were answering a bunch of questions I had...and then finally I booked my block. It took me about 2 weeks to book after my initial hotelplanner.com price quote request to finally sign the contract with the hotel. What's also great about this site is once you submit a question to contact the hotel(s) you're interested in, you receive the direct contact information for a sales manager at the hotel (name, e-mail, phone number)...so you can contact them directly instead of communicating through the website. Once I was in touch with the hotel sales manager, she didn't rush me in making my decision and was great to work with!! HTH!

eta: I know some brides were recently saying that they couldn't book their hotel block more than a year in advance. So if you try to do this now some hotels may indicate that they do not have any availability. I didn't have this problem but all of the hotels I was interested in were in the Hauppauge, Ronkonkoma, Stony Brook area.
