ok so FH is friends w this girl and i kind of used to be friends with her...but she is the most selfish, self-absorbed, obnoxious girl...and i just couldn't stand her. so i discontinued my friendship with her (which apparently she didn't even notice...no surprise there) but for some stupid reason FH still talks to her. keep in mind he really isn't *friends* with her, and he always agrees with me that she is a self-centered biotch.
anyway, she is getting married tomorrow. we got the invitation months ago and i told FH i REFUSE to go. i cannot STAND her!! why on earth would i want to go and celebrate her happiness? but FH was too much of a wuss to tell her that we weren't coming so he sent back the response card that we would attend...and then he just told me LAST WEEK!!
needless to say, i was really annoyed. but i figured shopping would make me feel better and i needed a new dress so i went to buy one last night.
i wanted my dress to really say something...now i HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE the color red...so what did i buy?! i bright red dress! haha...

Yes, suck it up and have fun! Go there looking fabulous in your new dress, drink lots of free booze, dance up a storm, and let the spirt of the day get you and your FH all romantic. Weddings are great!
Plus, you can use it as a fact finding mission... notice what songs get people out on the dance floor. Take note of how the DJ introduces the couple and how they do their first dance - maybe you'll want to do something similar. See if you can get any DIY ideas. See if you'd like to copy stuff from her centerpieces. You can get a lot of information that you can use at your own wedding! And you'll be so busy, you'll forget how much she annoys you.
I think you should just go and have a good time. Have a few rinks and forget about her. You most likely won't even talk to her maybe just for like 2 min. Cause I am sure she will be busy talking to all her otehr guests. Just go and have a good time. You can get ideas for your wedding too..lol

Dava has really good ideas!! I would go for the food and look at it as a night out with your FH. Plus, like Dava said get ideas for your wedding; what you like and what you dont like.

I would still go....its free booze and food you're winning out in the end since she's got to foot the bill! Plus like others said, it could be a great night out for you and FH and you can get some ideas of what you do or dont like for yours. You can always leave early too if you are really not having a good time.
