Re: Wedding
i went through alot of stress during my 2 years of planning. The day of was the best day of my life and everything you went through before the wedding doesnt matter at that moment.

Re: Wedding
I say this to every bride i know..... the stress factor is entirely up to you. You can either let every little thing bother you, OR u can enjoy your engagement. Coming from someone who was on a VERY tight budget, and being that the hubby & i were paying for everything ourselves, we definetly could've been a bunch of stressballs...but we made the decision early on to know that not everything can be perfect, people will be people and to ignore the drama, and yes - things will go wrong...BUT if u remember to breathe, and u remember that it's about the two of you, ur engagement will be one of the most special times in your life. AND it makes ur day that much better when u can look around & say 'WOW - we did this AND we actually enjoyed doing it'. The only time i really got stressed/emotional was the month before the wedding & honestly it's just unavoidable because u have so much running around to do lol...plus my mother made me nuts (love her though!) Other then that, i really can't complain about how our planning went! things to remember : stay organized, communicate with your vendors, shop around & do what you can afford, and remember to spend some time with ur fiance OUTSIDE of wedding planning.
good luck!

JTGarsik...well said. It's definitely worth it. Have your BM's help you if you feel like you won't have enough time to do everything. Plus, you have a HUGE support system on LIW. Right ladies?
So, now I have a question for you...is it that you don't want to plan a wedding and would rather elope or do you just want to hold off another year so you have time to plan?

very good point. There are some stresses you cant avoid and cant help but worry but MANY things are not worth worrying about. I see some people stressing out certain things when in reality its not that big and no need to drive yourself crazy over it.

Re: Wedding
I was so excited to plan everything when we first got engaged but once i booked the place- everything else became extremly difficult to book(from family input to trying to find a vendor who has your date open) Im sure everything will be worth it though so i just keep thinking about our HM:)

Re: Wedding
Yes - its worth it!
There were def moments when we were having doubts due to the cost. We kept saying we should have had a destination wedding....HOWEVER the day was so amazing and worth every single penny we paid!

Re: Wedding
It is well worth the planning. It was best day i could have ever had. Yes there will be times where you want to scream and rant plus maybe kill a few people but in the end it is well worth it.

This is completely up to you and not something someone else can answer.
Every person is different--some prefer to do a whole big wedding that takes months (sometimes years to plan)...others don't want to do that and do something small or even spur of the moment.
The question you have to first ask yourself is do you want to get married? If so, what kind of wedding do you want? Then that should answer the question for you.
