Wedding Album Thoughts

Okay .. is anyone NOT getting a wedding album? Some photo companies I have looked at have it as an add-on. I know I should get one but the extra cost (900-1000 for 1 album!) is annoying. Thoughts on the photo album?

I feel like if I made one myself (Shutterfly, etc) it might not be as 'nice' and professional obviously lol

Wedding Album Thoughts

We are getting one. The albums the professionals make are nicer than what you can get on shutterfly. And why spend all that money on photos and not get a professional album.

Wedding Album Thoughts - Long Island Weddings

As of right now I'm not getting one. That may change as I get closer to my wedding date. I felt it was more important to find a photographer that fit my style than what they could offer me in terms of packages (i.e. including the album). You should check out Picaboo they have professional looking albums...much better than Shutterfly!

I personally would get one... Mine was included in my package price, but I can FM you the cost of mine so you could see if adding the album onto your package is still a good price or if it puts you over. That way you can see whether or not it's worth it to add one on or just go with a photographer who includes it

Our photographer said that we could always add an album closer to/ after the wedding, and we are strongly considering doing that.

we are not getting them. We agreed to revist whether or not we want them after the wedding. We're trying to reduce some of the upfront costs ...

We would like one, but it wasn't in our original price. Our photographer says we can add it after the wedding once we get all the proofs. This way we didn't have to pay off an expensive album before the wedding.

Wedding Album Thoughts - Long Island Weddings

I'm torn on this, as well. It's not included in our (already very expensive) package, so it's hard to justify adding it on. Plus, I feel like I will be sharing the pictures via the internet more than showing the actual album to people if that makes any sense lol. I may attempt to make my own on blurb.com or one of those sites.

Crashing! We are not doing an album. I am on a tight budget and an album was one easy way to cut costs. I plan on making one myself after the wedding.

I don't think you should feel pressured - you do what you can afford at this point and there are SO MANY amazing places that you can get albums made now other than a professional photographer.
