Wedding and Reception on the East End

Wedding and Reception on the East End

I've been going out of my mind trying to find a place to get married and have my reception. I live in the Riverhead area and I don't want to travel an hour from my home to have the wedding I want.

I've looked at Giorgio's at Fodx Hill (I can't have a Saturday wedding because I'm ONLY having 100 people, East Wind (too commercial), Raphael Vineyard (too expensive 125per person and 5000 site fee) and the Vineyard Caterers (the one Im considering).

I was looking for something original, outdoorsy, with water like overlooking the sound.

If anyone has any ideas for me I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance for the help!

Would you go as far as Stony Brook? I know the Three Village Inn does weddings and I'm pretty sure they can accomodate a smaller wedding. Also, there are places in Easthampton (Red Moon Ranch) and Westhampton (Star Boggs in the Dune Deck right on the water) that would probably work too. Get a copy of the LI Weddings Places book and do a search on here. Good luck!

If your willing to travel to montauk Gurney's Inn is a great choice - it overlooks the ocean. I am getting married there if you need more info. Good Luck!

Definately look into Red Moon ranch. I am having my reception there. They are only allowed one event per year over fifty guests. I would call no later than one year before. Also what about Atlantica in Westhampton or I even heard the Aquarium holds wedding events.Happy Planning!!!

Atlantica would be awesome for a smaller wedding...its in westhampton.

other options: Soundview restautant, Vineyard caterers is a great choice (we chose not to go there because it was too far out).

Atlantica would be great (I'm getting married there next September) but I'm pretty sure they are even pricier than Raphael. However, at least there would be no site fee.

I'm getting married at Port Jeff Country Club, which is on the water, but perhaps a bit further than you want to travel. The Miller Place INn is a bit closer & very nice, but not on the sound (across from a little duck pond, though). I also know you can have a reception at a lot of the wineries on the North Fork -- we'd originally wanted to do that but then it was too far East for us. Good luck.

You should check out the North Fork Weddings website. North Fork Weddings

Also, the Long Island Wine Council's website has a list of all the wineries that you can have a wedding at. LI Wine Council

We're getting married at the Three Village Inn with about a 100 people. The place is very quaint and orginal...not commercial at all. Although its not right on the water, the harbor is across the street and good for pictures : ).

Good luck with your search!!!!!

Atlantica is small & very pricey. I looked there.

Re: Wedding and Reception on the East End

I am getting married at the Vineyard in March. I too was looking for a place in Suffolk and was not into some of the more traditional wedding places. I felt like the Vineyard was a perfect fit- it is absolutely beautiful, the food is great, and it has more of a homey low key feel. We are having a Saturday night wedding and the price is very reasonable. I saw a ton of places, and you can't get much better than it- of course, that is my own humble opinion

The Three Village Inn is very nice for a small affair! One of my friends wedding receptions was there(80 people) It was so beautiful, great food, great service!

I just wanted to thank everyone!!! I am going to have the wedding and reception at The Vineyard Caterers. I haven't heard one bad thing about the place... well ok just one... the bathrooms are too far away. but I can deal with that!!! Now the real fun begins. Thanks again

Re: Wedding and Reception on the East End

I'm not aware of a site dedicated to the South Fork. I only know about this one b/c they sent an invite to their opening party to my boss, who passed it onto me since he knows I'm slightly obsessed with wedding things.
