wedding and shower

How far away from the wedding is the Shower?
My mom want to do it in April and it seems really to soon. I am getting married July 4th. Is the shower normally 3 months before the wedding...

I am getting married July 11th and I got it out of my sister that my shower is sometime in April, She could be lying to me to throw me off but April is not too early

I'm getting married in April and having my shower the beginning of March. I think the only reason it worked out this way is because I don't have a bridal party so there was confusion if there was going to be one at all.

I would have liked to have it in February though...

I would say 2 to 3 months before is right!!

Mine's 2 1/2 months before!

getting married april 19 - shower march 1
plus our engagement was only 8 months

i have a feeling mine will be at least 3 months before the wedding b/c fh and i plan on moving in togetjer in a few months and it would be helpful...i am pretty sure that my mother and sisters know this

we're getting married 2/17, and my shower is this sat, that's 4 weeks before the wedding. i think the norm is to have it 1-3 months before the wedding.

I'm getting married June 14th and my shower is April 12th. My friend got married in November and her shower was in July. I think it's a matter of preference...

yes the shower is typically 2-3 months before the wedding...i wouldn't do it too close to the wedding bc its hard on some of the guests if they have to spend money buying you gifts for the shower and then soon after give money as a gift to your wedding, give them some time in between.
