Wedding at East Wind

We went to a wedding at the Estate at East Wind last night and I was completely impressed-- the joke before we went was I was going to love the place and then be disappointed because we never considered it for our wedding because it was too far away-- well the place is beautiful just not my taste-- the cocktail hour was great--the variety on the cold tables was enormous--more than I have ever seen before-- there was alot of hot food as well-- there was about 175 people there and the room was full--not packed but full-- we were right by the bar and bathroom which was perfect but I did notice that people from the other side of the room were walking over to the bar--and I didnt notice a bar on there side--so I guess that could be annoying--and from the numbers of people that were coming over it didnt seem like there was a lot of drink service-- but i could be wrong--since most people do end up walking to the bar anyway-- dinner was good-- the usual--prime rib--it was huge-- chicken and fish--nothing spectacular but then again the cocktail hour is where most people eat--they had a DJ--didnt get the name but they were fine-- overall the wedding was a good one--it was VERY irish so of course there were bagpipes but they did a great america theme which people sang to which was a nice touch in light of what has happened--the cake was really pretty--(not sure if it is done by hall or not) this was a friend from work (groom) but ironically the bride (who was at our wedding) had picked alot of the same flowers, centerpieces were similar, same color and style dresses, cake decorations, so it was very easy for me to like alot of what they did!!! any questions ask away-- and the inn they are building looks amazing and they say april it will be ready for a wedding--so those of you still not decided it is worth a look Laura

Laura, Did you honestly like the food?? Did you have any other complaints? How did you find the service? I don't know anyone who got married there, so we took a chance and booked it because we liked the rooms. Thanks, Christine
