Wedding at East Wind Estate
Fh and I attended a wedding at the Estate at east wind last night. The signs at night are hard to see where the estate parking is unless you have been there before. The Valet attendants were mia through parts of the wedding. We forgot the card in our car so fh went out to retrieve it but was gone for a while. When he came back I asked him if he got lost he said when he went outside to get the keys to get in the car the valet attendants were not out there. The pace itself was warm and beautiful. They had a fire going in the main lobby of the building. Cocktail hour had a lot to chose from food was really good. Didn't try everything cause the little I had made me full. The bartenders made one of our friends drinks so strong they could not drink it. Their signature drink was very tasty but the only reason I knew they had a signature drink was cause they told us. There was no sign at the bar saying signature drink. Like most places they took peoples plates away before they even got to eat it. Salad course, my friend got up for 2 mins to talk to someone came back and they took her plate. They continued to do this throughout the night which started to hurt the crowd on the dance floor once food started being served because people were afraid to step away from the table. Food was good. Dessert was weird more or less cause the service. They gave us coffee cups as we all waited for a server to bring coffee, 10 mins went by before someone came over to our table. Served 2 people coffee, one person asked for decaf they were told they were out at the moment and walked away. Did not serve anyone else and did not come back. We finally got a hold of another server and asked for the rest of us to get coffee and they said they had run out completely. It is a hotel, with a starbuck, and restaurant, plus a multi catering hall facility. I likely doubt they ran out of coffee. I know that annoyed quite a few people. They served a platter of assorted dessert tray on the tables before cake was brought so you had no plate to take a piece and place it upon. The cake was very eh. The over all wedding was fun and had a great time with friends. If it wasn't a Sunday night wedding and we had work the next day we probably would of stayed over in the hotel but had to get home for work today. We have stayed at the hotel before and is very nice. I know they got a good hotel block rate for their rooms. Much cheaper than I was able to find for our own out by our venue.
