I think it really depends on the kind of band you want. Prior to looking I budgeted 1k but had to adjust based on what I wanted, but I know that you can get a band for a lot less even with diamonds. I'm guessing a plain band would be even less than that.

im kicking myself for not remembering that macy's gives you cash back if you registered and opened a macy's card with them (and coupons to boot). we bought ours at Kay - probably spent about $600 for both.

I am not putting a price on this - I just want something I like. As a general rule, My FH and I, have been putting our money towards the tangible things well take from the wedding photos, video, rings, etc. and cutting back on the not so tangible and one day only items flowers, gown, limo etc. So I will probably pay a fair amount for a ring. I want an enternity band, which decent quality diamonds, also I might need something custom made because my ring is not flat so i'd have a gap with a standard band. I figure I am going to be wearing it everyday for the rest of my life so this for me isnt something I want to sacrifice on. That's a really great idea with Macy's! Also I heard Tri County is great too.

Check out bluenile.com its a very reputable online jeweler. They are pretty standard with price, it may give you an idea of what you want to spend. But, I still think you can probably haggle some more with a local jeweler and get a similar product for cheaper.

Mine's going to be $2300 because I wanted to get the Tacori band that matches my engagement ring.
