Wedding Band and Engagement Ring

I have been seeing, reading and hearing a lot about girls wearing their engagement ring on their right hand and wedding band on the left so that they can have a a unique style for both. What do you think of the idea and what do you all plan on doing?

im not very traditional with things, but wearing the rings together is something that means alot to me .. not sure why lol but you can do whatever you like... its all a matter of preference... imsure there are others who want 1 on each hand

My FSIL does this because she got a crazy big wedding band that overpowered her E-ring. I would like to try and wear both on the same hand...I haven't ordered my ring yet but this is what I plan on doing. I just like it better.

Fh ordered my band to match the band on my ering. he did this because i told him that I itend on wearing them together at all times. i feel this way because i am a jewelry wearer and have so many other rings to wear and dont want to lose another hand to my wedding rings...

meaning...if I had a ring on both left hands...then i cant wear any of the other rings I have!

I'm not sure of what I want. I like the match and I also like that they can be different. I am not very good with making decisions especially lifetime ones lol. Good thing FH was the one who picked the ering who knows how long that would have taken.

I am wearing them both on my left hand... I always liked that.. plus it gives me an excuse to ask for a right hand ring. I know alot of people that wear them on both hands and it looks good!! really up to you!

i plan on wearing them together. and FH can buy me a ring for my right hand!!!

my sister is wearing on different hands because her e-ring is a pear cut with trillions on the side and the band she wanted doesn't fit with it.

I'm wearing mine on the same hand...
Maybe when I walk down the aisle, before I get my other ring I'll wear it on the other hand, but that's really it...

I wanted a very simple, cheap band to save money and then I was going to wear my engagement ring on my right hand bit FH would just not hear of it! He said that the engagement ring is supposed to go on the left hand. Sigh...so we eventually found something reasonable with diamonds in it (from Zales). Maybe after we're married for a couple of years if I just switch hands he won't notice...

i got an eternity band that compliments my e ring and i plan on wearing them together. i also made sure the band looked good on it's own in case i wanted to wear the e ring on my right hand or if i want to leave e ring at home. i also got a plain plat band so i can wear it solo at the gym or something. i made sure it looked good with my e ring in case dont feel like being all blinged out - which is highly unlikely, but you never know! i guess i just like to have options...that would also be why i overpack wherever i go!

I posted yesterday that I wanted to get another E Ring that is a solitaire to wear with my future eternity band. But, I don't want to hurt FH's feelings so I am right handing my ring and getting an eternity band for the left. I think eventually, in addition to my E Ring, I am buying another diamond solitaire to wear with my eternity band on days I want to.

ahh thank you for even bringing up the whole band issue... i just called whitehall to see if they have any platinum bands and they told me theres only 2 left! LOL so now i gotta run out to see if they are anything like what im looking for

I want to wear both on my left hand because i have a three star ring that fh gaveme that i always wear on my right hand and idont want to part with it lol

I am going to wear both of the rings on my left hand... I have my MOM ring on my right hand which I don't plan on taking off since my kids gave it to me !!!!!!!!!!

hahaha!! i will most likely be wearing ering and eternity band on left hand and leave the plat band at home. it's going to be a one off thing that i wear ering on my right hand....i don't want fh to think he doesn't have to supply me with more rings down the road! i love cocktail rings!!
