I knew that the shape of my e-ring would present a minor problem when looking for a band to match (it was custom made; FH's idea to have the square turned diamond shape which I LOVE because it's so different).
BUT I am having a hard time finding a band that works with the ring. I really don't want to wear one like this because I'd like the option of wearing the band alone and I think it looks a little goofy on its own:
So I am left with an option like this with one on either side:
but then I'd REALLY be limited to only wearing the bands with the e-ring...
or then there is the twisty-shape here, but I am not sure how I feel about having holes in it (sort of a weird personal superstition; I just feel like wedding bands should be continuous and solid...)
What do you guys think? I have tried on normal bands and they looks crazy because the point of the diamond of the e-ring forces this big space in between the rings. A jeweler advised that in time a regular band would push the prong underneath and might cause the diamond to fall out; DEFINITELY don't want that happening!

I should also add that the e-ring stone is a radiant-cut and I can't find a band with radiant cut stones ANYWHERE!!!

i think the band shouldn't have a break in it...without begining without end....so no diamonds....get married with a thin band and worry about it later

Could you maybe wear the e-ring on your right hand once you get married? I've heard of a lot of people who just move the e-ring over to the other hand that way they can get whatever band they like.

I could conceivably do that, but I do like the way a set looks. I think I want the impossible with this one...

The jeweler who made your e-ring should have something in mind for a wedding band. I suggest you start with him first.

i had the same problem, that is why i have to wear my engagement ring on my right hand andwedding band on the left hand, but i got a thicker band for that reason!!

I would go to the same person that did your ring and i'm sure he could do a custom wedding band for you.............

I have an emerald cut stone so nothing sat flush against my e ring either. I just got a thin band with small diamonds in it and there is a little space, but I think it looks fine! I actually kind of like it!

Re: wedding band distress (pics...)
first: i have to say i LOVE ur ring...i think it is so unique!
out of the ones u posted, i would go with something along the lines of the first one...i like the loopy one, but i agree with u with the 'continuous band' thing..i am not supersticious at all, it's just what it stands for..
Another idea: what if u get the diamond set higher? I dont think it's all that expensive to get a new basket, and then u can get a regular band that can kind of sit underneath it (if u know what i mean??)... just an idea???

What if you buy a band for the e-ring and one to wear on it's own.

Re: wedding band distress (pics...)
The wavy bands remind me of the infinity symbol. I think that's kind of fitting for a wedding band.
My ring is three hearts, so I'm having a similar predicament. I'm sure when you find 'the one', you'll know. Any of the options you posted will look beautiful with your ring.

oh wow - didn't even realize that! i know i posted earlier but i do agree..it does look like the infinity symbol..and there really is no break in the design..

love your e-ring!
I had a similar problem. I do not have a typical e-ring either so finding a band to fit it was a challenge. Here is my band which I love It has the same design principle as the 'open' rings, without having any holes in it.

Re: wedding band distress (pics...)
I was having a hard time finding a band too. Nothing sits flush with it. and to get princess cut diamonds would make the band very wide so here was my compromise.
The bands are round diamonds in a prong setting about 1/3 of a carat each. I think it made my ring more balanced.
